The Role of Media in Childhood Obesity was composed by the Henry J. Kaiser Family foundation. It’s an article devoted entirely to explaining exactly how the media has an effect on obesity rates in America. It doesn’t simply focus on the effects of advertising but it does focus on all aspects of media including cildren watching TV, using the internet, and watching movies. What this foundation has concluded is that the media does in fact play a large role in the continuation of obesity in America.

Kaiser foundation is a leader in health policy and communications, the Kaiser Family Foundation is a non-profit, private operating foundation focusing on the major health care issues facing the U.S., as well as the U.S. role in global health policy. Unlike grant-making foundations, Kaiser develops and runs its own research and communications programs, sometimes in partnership with other non-profit research organizations or major media companies.
